The 8x6.5 bolt pattern was the standard up until like 98 on fords and i believe it still is on chevy and dodge. Switching to a 16 inch is best. 16.5 to 16 wheel conversion:

Ready to leave la junta , sonora, mexico for five days over the sierra madre mountains, destination los mochis. I was concerned about running two different sizes (and needing two different spares!) but the circumferences were nearly identical. One of my 16.5's disintegrated so i made the change but just to the rears.

The 8x6.5 bolt pattern was the standard up until like 98 on fords and i believe it still is on chevy and dodge. There you go, the equal tire size on a different size wheel using the tire converter on the right.

If You Own A Dodge/Plymouth:

16's are a good choice, but have always seemed to me to be a bit of a forgotten son. So 1999 & newer ford isn't right. 3) plenty of brake clearance.

Tread Width For The 9.50X16.5 Is 9.8, Diameter Is 30.6.

The safest and probably cheapest would be to buy some 17 shells or junkyard steel wheels. Heavy truck wheels use the.5 designation to signify tubeless application. I have 5/8 clearence between the buldges at rest and there also pretty tight in the front with the wheels turned all the way.

16.5 Feet = 198 Inches.

They would require a machined adapter. There's no way around this if you want to use 16 tires. All the 16.5 rims i have seen have the size stamped on them.
